Building experience
Mitch Goldstein leaves his career in public accounting behind and becomes an accounting and finance recruitment manager at a large multinational recruitment agency in Toronto. After nine impressive years being consistently recognized as one of the agency’s top performers worldwide, Mitch joins a smaller accounting and finance recruitment agency. His mandate? Take the firm to higher levels.

The Mason Group’s first office opens in Mississauga, ON
Having successfully achieved his mandate, Mitch sees an opportunity to do things differently. He creates his own firm based on two core beliefs: "It Takes One to Know One" and "It Takes Tenure to Know How". He launches The Mason Group with the vision of a specialized accounting and finance recruitment agency formed by a team of experienced recruiters mainly comprised of trained accountants and/or CPAs. The company’s first location opens in Mississauga, Ontario.

Second office opens in North York, ON
One year after the Mississauga office is launched, The Mason Group opens its second office in North York, Ontario. In response to the growing demand for accounting and finance contract searches, The Mason Group establishes its Accounting and Finance Contract Recruitment Division. The contract team focuses solely on the recruitment and placement of accounting and finance professionals for contract, temporary, interim, and project-based type positions across the Greater Toronto Area.

Banking and Financial Services
To meet the ever-increasing demand from clients and candidates, The Mason Group establishes its Banking and Financial Services Recruitment Division for both permanent and contract searches.

Fourth office opens in Vancouver, BC
The Mason Group opens its fourth office in Vancouver, BC and appoints Diane Kerley FCPA, FCMA to head up the firm’s specialized accounting and finance recruiting operations in the Greater Vancouver Area.

The Administrative Alliance
The Mason Group launches its Administrative Staffing Division, “The Administrative Alliance,” and appoints Diana Battista to head up this new division. The Administrative Alliance provides a one stop shop for office and administrative staffing needs, including business administrative, human resources, and customer service roles at all levels, across all industries, for permanent, contract, and temporary opportunities.

Covalent Recruitment
The Mason Group launches its IT Staffing Division, “Covalent Recruitment,” and appoints Jordan Pajak to head up this new division. Covalent Recruitment specializes in connecting top-tier tech talent with leading employers across Canada and the US.
